Tent for Lent
Campaign by ShelterBox (RCN 1096479)
This Lent, what will you give up to give shelter? From chocolate to cake, flat whites to Facebook, by giving something up and donating the money you save, you can help families to stay safe and start again.

Story

I'm taking on the Tent for Lent challenge by ........ Here's how your support can help: - £11 could provide a family with a solar light - £24 could provide a family with a sleeping mat and thermal blankets- £47 could provide a family with a water filter giving them access to clean drinking water- £385 could provide a family with a tent, a space for a family to call homeEvery penny raised could give a family a home, and with a home comes a powerful sense of new hope.

My first night in the tent went well and I got plenty of sleep and managed to keep nice and warm. I now have 6 more nights in the tent bringing me up to Easter.

I am now more than halfway through having done 4 nights in the tent with 3 more to go!

My 5th night was cold and wet so hoping my next night will be more kind to me weather wise.

I’ve just completed my 7th. And final night in my tent and with your kind donations and the sponsor form in Church I have smashed my target of £2500! Thank you so much and Shelterbox will be able to supply nearly 8 large tents to refugees including those on the Ukrainian borders.
