24 Peaks 24 Hours · 18 June 2022 ·

Support the team as they attempt to climb 24 peaks in just 24 hours in aid of Chapter2. Our mission is to end the waiting list for fatherless boys in need of a male mentor. In Reading alone the waiting list is over 60 and rising.

Story

I am super excited for this challenge, largely because I will be joined by my son Reuben. I am incredibly proud of his courage to tackle this adventure at such a young age. But I also know he has what it takes to complete it.

On Father's Day weekend 2022, we will be setting out to climb 24 mountains in just 24 hours. Covering 30 miles using nothing but our two feet. This endurance challenge has not been attempted before.

The group is embarking on this challenge to help boys that are growing up with no father or father figure. The UK is facing a fatherless pandemic, with nearly 1 in 2 15-year old boys not living with both parents, the majority of which live with their mother. They will grow up to face far more challenges than your average boy. Unemployment, academic failure, depression, anxiety and poverty later in life are all far more likely for fatherless boys. Please support this brave group in their quest to write hope into the fatherless story.
