Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The "6 Bells Crew" (normally found in the pub at that time on a Friday evening... hence the name!) are a group of friends who love sport, beer and winding one another up!

Being Rugby fans (of both codes), we`ve been moved by the heart-breaking stories of Rob Burrow & Doddie Weir, who are both suffering from the incredibly cruel illness of MND. Some of the group also knew men who had died tragically early at the hands of this spiteful condition.

As the group all like walking (though the ability is mixed!), we - Martin "Sherpa T" Armitage, Paul "Birthday Princess" Ellis, Stu "Mad G" McLean, Dane "Fireman Sam" Rollo, Peter "the compass" Sheen and me, Rich "chunky but funky" Mallender (along with a few guests), have decided to take on the Y3P challenge, a gruelling 24 mile hike, to be completed on the same day.

As we are all 50 plus (some a lot more than others!), this really is going to be an incredibly challenging day on May 30th. However, this is just one day, Doddie, Rob and all those with MND have this kind of a challenge each and every day.

All the walkers want to thank our back up team, Mandy Barrett & Gill Mallender, who`ve volunteered to keep us well hydrated etc at the 2 rendezvous points on the day.

Please, please support us if you are able to!

Thank you in anticipation.
