Story

The Fundraiser
Since having a couple of seizures in 2023, I completely stopped running. I've always been a big supporter of NACOA and wanted to turn getting back in shape into something positive for a charity that has helped and supported so many people.

I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on the 7th of April 2024 to raise money for, and awareness of NACOA. If you can afford anything, even if it is just £1, please donate towards this amazing charity.

The Charity
Nacoa (The National Association for Children of Alcoholics) is a Bristol-based charity founded in 1990 to provide help and support for everyone affected by a parent’s drinking. We believe that every child has the right to a happy childhood and to live a creative and meaningful life but when drink is the family secret they are more likely to experience family violence, neglect and other problems in their own homes.

About the charity

1 in 5 children in the UK are affected by their parents' alcohol problems. They are often frightened and isolated, with no one to turn to for help. Nacoa responds by providing a free, confidential telephone, 1-2-1 chat and email helpline.
