<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>With Charlie, we've been very lucky. His treatment has been effective and we're looking forward to life again. I'm doing this event for those friends&nbsp;and their families&nbsp;who haven't been so lucky. This one is for people like&nbsp;Doug, John and, most recently, Rick for whom the cancer treatment wasn't successful.</p> <p>The Etape Caledonia is 81 miles around Highland Perthshire. Those that know me might be surprised to hear that this is twice as far as I've ever cycled in a day before so it's a challenge. Dealing with a bleak cancer diagnosis is way beyond a challenge, though, and so I'll be cycling as part of the Daffodil team to raise money for the great work that Marie Curie do.
