Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Great Glen canoe trail is a sequence of lochs and canals that cuts across Scotland from Fort William to Inverness and is roughly 60 miles long. We'll be leaving from Corpach and portaging the canoe and gear to the top of Neptune's staircase where we'll start our travels. Over the five days we'll be travelling along the Caledonian Canal and navigating Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and Loch Ness. We'll probably get eaten alive by midges and have to fend off Nessie with our paddles but its for a really worthwhile cause.

We're doing this to raise funds for Strathcarron Hospice which provides specialist palliative care and expert end of life care. It cares for people with illnesses that can't be cured including cancer, lung, heart or kidney failure and a range of non-malignant and neurological diseases. They are also actively involved in  research and education in palliative care and we promote and influence the delivery of palliative care locally and beyond.

Please give, if you can, no matter how big or small it all adds up.  If you do donate could you mark it down for Gift Aid? This will allow Strathcarron to claim the tax from the government. We'll be heading off on May 27th and will post photos from along the way.
