Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Friday 5 June I was supposed to have been at Lake Windermere in the Lake District swimming 5km as part of the Great North Swim event. Unfortunately this event was cancelled due to the current restrictions however I would still like to swim my own 5km to raise money for a cause close to my heart.
So next Sunday 21 June I will be swimming my own 5km in a quarry courtesy of our friends at the Surrey Hills Adventure Company (SHAC).
Throughout lockdown we have all felt the unprecented impact of Covid-19 on our lives, our families and our jobs but unfortunately it doesn't end there. At the RSPCA we've also sadly seen hundreds of pets abandoned through this period who desperately need our help. With fundraising income understandably down at the moment and our teams stretched to the limit, this has added growing pressure to our support just when our animals need us most.
As a Trustee of the Surrey East Branch I am witnessing this first hand and I'd like to ask for your help in raising much needed funds to support the work of our Inspectors, our welfare centres and our branch services. Every £1 will make a difference so please help.
