On the 24th of October 2020 my beautiful nephew was born with Down Syndrome. Sunshine and Smiles have supported both Rupert and his amazing mummy and daddy, Catriona and Lewis over the past two and a half years by providing a support network for children and young people who have Down syndrome and their families.

Sunshine and Smiles was set up in 2011 as a small group offering support in the city and became an official charity in 2013. They are the only specific support network in Leeds and fulfil a vital role in the community. To say thank you for all the help and support they have provided my sister and brother in law to be, and to help Sunshine and Smiles continue their amazing and invaluable work I wanted to help by raising funds as I train for and (hopefully!) complete the Manchester marathon on the 16th of April.

Any amount at all will be greatly received and put to good use by the fantastic people at Sunshine and Smiles to help them continue supporting children, and young people who have Down Syndrome and their families
