Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
You will know that I have completed a number of charity events over the years and recently some of those have involved something I really enjoy doing, cycling!!. This one is really quite special for me as an ex military person. This is such a small gesture that I cannot explain in words how insignificant it is compared to what has been sacrificed, but if I can do something to help the Royal British legion and the amazing work it continues to do for our armed forces then I'm happy to crack on.
Whilst a pure coincidence, it also seems fitting that I am taking part in a production of Journeys End at my local theatre In Droitwich in November, which is based on a true story in the trenches - but first some cycling to do before all of that.
For once I'm not doing the event on my own, Jase Dakin will be joining me. Jase will go from a complete novice to tackling this event in matter of a few months of training and on a bike I built for him - a great feat - my bike building I mean of course :-) - I will post updates on the last 6 weeks or so of training.
To the blurb now - but you know how much I appreciate you putting your hands in your pocket - once more into the breach........
