Story

Richard Power runs
the Great Ethiopia Run

In order to celebrate my 60th
year and as a personal contribution  to
our major fundraising project to raise £100,000 to provide equipment for an
Orthopaedic Operating Theatre in Gondar, Ethiopia I have decided to run the
Great Ethiopia Run on November 26th.
I will be joining Africa’s elite distance runners (and 45,000 others) in
running 10k around the streets of Addis Ababa.
This may not sound much but I have never run 10k before and certainly
not at an altitude of 2,200m with temperatures
in the low 20’s.

I have just survived Week 10 of “Couch to
10k” in some pain but am confident that I will achieve my ‘PB’!!

You can find out more about the Leicester
Gondar Orthopaedic Partnership and our fundraising campaign with the Rotary
Club of Leicester by visiting our website: www.lgop.org

I would very much appreciate any
sponsorship you are able to give.  Every
£ raised is uplifted by 50% through a Rotary International Global Grant.
