Byte Night Midlands 2018 · 5 October 2018 ·

We protect and support children and young people, providing practical and emotional care and support. We ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives. Our vision is that every child and young person has a safe and happy childhood, and the foundations they need to thrive.

Story

On Friday 5 October, I will be giving up my warm bed for Action for Children’s national sleep-out event, Byte Night, which raises money to help prevent youth homelessness in the UK.

Many of you know I have been in training for this for over a year by growing a beard. It's time to put it to some good use.

Byte Night is a national sleep out event and is one of the UK’s top 20 mass participation charity events and is the largest charity sleep-out having raised over £10m since the first event. Each year thousands of people and teams from technology and business sectors give up their beds for a night to help change the lives of young people through tackling the root causes of homelessness. This keeps vulnerable young people off the streets and enables them to build better lives.

As well as keeping your fingers crossed for me that there is good weather on the night please donate what you can to this fantastic cause. All donations will be gratefully received.
