Brighton Marathon 2022 · 10 April 2022 ·
One night in March last year whilst a bit jolly after a few drinks I decided it was a good idea to sign up to a marathon, despite the fact I could just about run a couple of miles at the time and feel awful after. I’ve been training ever since and its not long until the day now.
I been thinking long and hard for a while now whether or not I should raise some money for charity whilst partaking in this event. I wouldn’t want to let people down, and I don’t like asking people for money. I’ve decided though it would be a shame not to use this opportunity for a cause that’s close to my family.
Tiny Sparks is a charity that support family’s with premature babies and they were very supportive to my sister in law when she gave birth unexpectedly early to my nephew Richie. So I would like to return the favour for helping my family out. If you are able to spare a few quid I would be very great full. No pressure though as I understand times are hard.
Each year more than 4,000 West Australian babies are admitted to Neonatal Units, many of them fighting for life. Their families need immediate and ongoing support. Your contribution enables us to support more families each year through our Care Package program, Developmental Playgroup, special occasion gifts, special projects, peer to peer support programs and more.
