With my birthday fast approaching, in lieu of gifts, I am asking my friends, family and colleagues to donate to an incredible charity called The Nehemiah Project.

They are a brilliant group that work with men struggling with alcohol and drug addiction in South London, most of whom are either prisoners or ex-offenders.

All funds raised will go towards Gleeds’ Global Challenge to raise at least £130,000 for good causes around the world to mark our 130^th year in business.
