Richard's Isle of Wight Challenge 2023 page

Isle of Wight Challenge 2023 · 29 April 2023
I have decided to take on a new fundraising challenge for 2023.
I have done various fundraisers for the Hospice including thee midnight walk a number of times which have been for around 2o miles on each one.
This time I am planning a challenge that I have never experienced so far.
The challenge is the Isle of Wight Challenge which includes a trek of the whole island which is approx 106 km (Approx 65 miles). This is to be done over a 2 day period in May 2023.
This is a new and very challenging one for me as its the furthest I have done in a short time period. This will be pushing myself to the hardest I can so the training is starting now. I shall be posting training updates on my page here.
Why am I doing this..... Well here's a bit of info on the hospice and goes someway to outlining my reason why.
The Hospice of St Francis is a charity which helps 2,000 local people and their families, in Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire, to live their precious lives well through improving symptoms, achieving personal goals and helping them to feel safe.
St Francis are a community hospice, relying on your support to raise a majority of the over £5 million annually to fund our free care.
Every penny is needed to do what they do.
This is why I am doing this challenge to raise much needed money for them to continue to provide the care that they do. I have experienced their care for a family member first hand so know how much care and compassion that the team has here.
Please do feel free to donate here or you can contact me directly at eichard-storey@outlook.com to make a donation towards this amazing charity and to help me achieve or even beat my fundraising efforts.
