For over 70 years the Percy Hedley Foundation has delivered over 30million hours of care, education and support to tens of thousands of disabled people across the North East. With your support we will transform lives and offer every opportunity possible to live their lives to the full.

Story

Imagine a place where you can move independently, where you can relax and enjoy yourself, where you don't feel any pain. For most people, that's pretty easy  but for severely disabled children and adults that freedom often only comes in a hydrotherapy pool.

The Percy Hedley Foundation is the largest North East disability charity, helping more than 1000 disabled children, young people, adults and their families every year.  No-one can tell the Percy Hedley story better than the people that benefit, so please take a minute or two to go to www.percyhedley.org.uk where you can see a couple of videos about the charity on the home page.

Please help me to help them and dig deep.  Just think what’s possible…with your support.

Cross fit is a strength and conditioning programme designed for universal scalability.  Promoted as both a physical exercise philosophy and also as a competitive fitness sport, CrossFit workouts incorporate elements from high intensity interval training, olympic weight lifting, plyometrics, powerlifiting, gymnastics, girevory sport, calisthenics, strongman and other exercises.

My session will consist of 4 disciplines: Overhead pull-downs with heavy resistance bands; plastic tube overhead; ski-fit (resistance pull down movements); 20m rope pull with weight attached. And if I have survived, I might even do some straight arm dumbbell lifts on each arm.
