Story
I went to watch my first London Marathon in October 2021 to support James Behan who was running for Children with Cancer. Before he crossed the finished line I was already signing up for the 2022 London Marathon in the hope I would get a place. There were so many inspirational runners to cheer that day but hearing the stories behind the children with cancer charity really resonated with me. Cancer devastates so many families and does not discriminate between young and old. As a Teacher I place a great importance on providing children and young people with every opportunity to build a bright future. By supporting this charity I feel this is my chance to extend this beyond what I do in the classroom. Every child should be given every chance to enjoy their childhood and be hopeful for a bright future. Raising money for Children with Cancer Charity increases the chance that any child who gets a diagnosis will survive and thrive as a result.
I have never run a marathon before but I love a challenge. Your support will help me through every tough training mile and every step of the race.
I wish to extend the vision of the charity and help every child diagnosed with cancer ring their end of cancer treatment bell.
