Event: Everest Base Camp Trek, from 7 March 2019 to 24 March 2019
An expedition to Everest Base Camp in support of Harmeny Education Trust's Learning for Life Appeal. Helping to change the lives of some of Scotland's most vulnerable children.

Story

On 5th April 2019 I will be embarking on a personal challenge to reach Everest Base Camp in aid of Harmeny's Learning for Life Appeal. This gruelling trek will test me both physically and mentally and will involve a series of climbs over three weeks to reach Base Camp at 18,000 feet (5,500 metres). The trip is completely self funded so your donations will go straight to supporting the work of Harmeny. Your donations will help Harmeny build an Outdoor Education and Learning Hub, providing new and improved facilities for the educational and therapeutic support of the 30 children currently supported by Harmeny. The completion of this build will also enable the school to support a further 60 children from Edinburgh who are at risk of exclusion from secondary school.
