Story
I'm walking 60 miles in June to transform the future of pancreatic cancer.
Right now, half of people with pancreatic cancer die within three months of diagnosis. Families are left with only hope to hold onto. They need more. So, we do more.
Thanks to kind supporters like you there is hope!
By donating to my challenge, you're making support available for people now and funding world-leading research to find that breakthrough in new treatments which is so desperately needed. Just £29 could fund further research to improve the speed of diagnosis.
Together, we will bring more than hope to people affected by pancreatic cancer.
Thank you so much for your support!
Doing this for my Dad who was diagnosed in November 2023. He's stage 3, but the chemo seems to be helping, the latest report is that after 12 weeks of chemo (halfway through the course), it has shrunk, so we're all keeping positive that he will beat this. Not everyone's experience goes this way though, and this cause is close to my heart.
⭐ £27.27 could cover the cost for one person to join one of our online support sessions hosted by a specialist nurse - making them feel less alone and able to ask the questions they need answered.
⭐ £40 would pay for a Health Professional to develop their knowledge and skills at one of our regional study days
⭐ £100 would allow researchers to carry out detailed genetic studies of 10 people, helping them to identify faulty genes that could increase their risk of pancreatic cancer, ultimately saving lives.
⭐ £235 could fund 9 hours of our Support Line. That means, on average, 27 people affected by pancreatic cancer will get expert support from dedicated nurses.
