Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

I was so pleased to be offered a chance to help support the work of Stroke Association because working towards preventing strokes and supporting people living with the effects of experiencing stroke is a huge challenge, but when achieved, can make such a difference to so many peoples lives.

Having seen members of my own family suffer the effects of stroke I am very aware of the life changing challenges faced by sufferers and their friends and family.

Running the London Marathon on 28th April 2019 will be particularly poignant for me since this coincides to the very day of the 10th anniversary of my dads death. I know he would be so supportive and proud of my efforts so I am hoping that this thought keeps me placing one foot in front of the other for every inch of the way.

Having had my own health concerns only two years ago that prevented me even walking upstairs without getting out of breath let along running, completing the London Marathon will be huge personal milestone to me in regaining my good health.

Many thanks  once again for your support.

Richard.
