We fund research, provide support, campaign to bring more than hope to those affected.

Story

Richard was always a lot more than the Zopa CEO. To those who knew him or worked with him, he was simply an amazing human being. Passionate, inspirational, possessed of an extraordinary creativity, intelligence and gentleness - a husband, a leader, a father, and a friend.

Over the years that many of us have known Richard, he was unceasing in his commitment to his family and friends, to the companies he was involved in, and the individuals he worked with. His understanding of people was unerring, and he would do whatever he was able to bring out the full potential of those he knew. We have all benefited from the times we spent with him, and become better people through his efforts.

His passing leaves us all with a hole in our lives that is uniquely Richard.

If you would like to give in his memory, instead of flowers, his wife Krys has asked that we collect for a charity - Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Many thanks to Wellington Partners for their generous offline donation of £2000, "With our heartfelt sympathy".

Pancreatic Cancer UK is committed to fighting pancreatic cancer through research, awareness, information and support and other projects of benefit to pancreatic cancer patients. The charity aims to raise awareness of cancer of the pancreas to aid earlier diagnosis and to stimulate and enable more research into better detection and treatment. It provides a central resource of information on pancreatic cancer to patients, caregivers and GPs and a national support network.

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.
