Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
A team of us are raising money for Pancreatic research as it is poorly funded and has one of the lowest survival rates of any cancer. We are also trying to raise awareness about this terrible disease.
My eldest son Nick and I are taking part in the Humber Half Marathon on Sunday 24th June along with my brother Lawrence, his wife Helen, and my brother-in-law Jon. My younger brother Keith and friend Mark Tyson recently ran the Hull 10K for this very worthy cause.
My brother Richard was only 52 when first diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer and until then had been a very fit and active person, and an accomplished sportsman. Richard fought a very brave and courageous fight against this awful disease, remaining positive in his outlook and was a true inspiration to all who knew him. He strove to live life to the full, along with his loving caring wife Sharon. Sadly Richard passed away on 2nd April aged only 54, an extremely popular man who was much loved and admired, and is very sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
