A big 'thank you' to everyone that sponsered me to run on behalf of E.L.H.A.P, together we have raised a very meaningful amount.

I finished the race in 4:25, i found the last 6 miles very tough, i planned to get to 20miles in 3 hours to give myself a chance, i got there in 3:04 but then struggled for the last 6 uphill miles! 

 On Sunday 7th November i am running the New York Marathon for a charity called E.L.H.A.P. East London Handicapped Adventure Playground.

E.L.H.A.P is an adventure playground designed and built for children & young adults with both mental and physical disabilities. E.L.H.A.P is an amazing charity which is very close me, it  provides a safe,secure and stimulating environment which i have seen with my own eyes on many occasions to young people way less fortunate than ourselves. E.L.H.A.P is funded almost entirely from donation and as an example of where your money goes:

50stg/80usd helps pay for a special outing for upto 20 disabled children

100stg//160usd pays for 4 disabled children to attend E.L.H.A.P for a whole day in a playscheme

500stg/800usd pays for 4 disabled children to attend for a whole week.

I am aiming to finish the marathon in under 4 hours and i have done lots of training so fingers crossed and thankl you all very much, regards Richard Giles.
