Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
My name is Richard Miller, I am a father of five and work for World Vision UK.
Water is something we take for granted and asking for a drink in any UK household is a 2 second walk to the kitchen. For the children World Vision support this could be a daily walk of many hours. I will be walking round Grafham Water reservoir four times, the equivalent of the same distance some children may have to walk for water that may not even be clean enough for them to drink.
The plight of these children has inspired me to complete a similar walk, at the same time raising funds for wells and taps in projects that World Vision sponsor all over the world.
Each sanitation pump cost around £367 to install. I would love to enable these daily marathons for children all over the world to decrease by providing funds for clean sanitised water for remote villages and communities world wide.
All donations will be gifted to World Vision for the specific purchase of these pumps.
No-one should have to walk miles for a glass of water.
Please give generously,
God Bless,
Richard
I completed this walk in 12 hours and 51 mins, thank you all for your support, please keep donating and supporting... we are close to 3 pumps and it would be fantastic to reach that amount!!
