At YBTC, we walk beside anyone impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis through every step of their journey. Our local support brings comfort, care, and hope to families across Yorkshire- while our local research and investment in 'pump priming' brings us closer to kinder treatments and a cure.

Story

A wonderful man lost his fight with Cancer on April 9th 2015.

Richard Neil Foster (Neil) was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme IV in February 2013.  He bravely fought this vicious disease for over two years, against all odds, never giving up and always living life to the full.

Ever organised, Neil left a set of funeral instructions.  He has requested no flowers, with a preference for donations to a charity instead.

Neil was a loving husband, son and brother, and a devoted father to Abigail and Oliver - he lives on through them.

He lived a full life, fitting more into his 47 years than many that reach 100.   His footprint is spread far and wide; the memory of Neil's laughter, generosity and stubbornness is Global.

"We all die.  The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will."

We have chosen a specific Brain Tumour Charity which specialises in Research and Support across Yorkshire.

The ultimate hope by raising funds in his memory is that others can be spared the pain of losing a loved one.
