This is a very special year for me as it will be the tenth successive year in which I will taking part in the annual UK Charity All-Stars charity ice hockey tournament.  This year I am very excited to be playing for and representing Blue Cross for the fourth consecutive year and they are a charity that mean a great deal to me.  The charity provides support for pet owners who cannot afford private veterinary treatment, helps to find homes for unwanted animals, and educates the public in the responsibilities of animal ownership.  In 2016 I adopted two boy cats (Gabe and Roly) from the Blue Cross re-homing centre in Grimsby and it is amazing to give the boys a loving home.  I have loved watching them grow and bond with each other as well as myself in the past few of years.  It was great to be able to go and see first hand what great work the charity does in looking after cats before they are re-homed.  Although the Grimsby branch just specialises in cat re-homing, the charity has several branches up and down the country which care for other pets and animals.  The work and love the charity puts into everything is amazing to see.

The annual UK Charity All Stars charity ice hockey event sees 8 different teams of ice hockey fans throughout the UK coming together to represent and raise money for 8 different charities in a tournament style competition.  This event will be taking part at The Viola Arena in Cardiff over the 26th, 27th and 28th July 2019.

Myself and my represented charity Blue Cross, would be extremely grateful for any donation regardless of size.  Everything will help.  I'm hoping our team can raise the most money and also win on the ice when the weekend gets here.  I can't wait for it and it will be a fantastic weekend as usual!
