Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June this year, a friend of mine, Emma Witty, was hospitalised following a stroke.

After initially showing signs of progress and recovery, at the tender age of just 19, she lost her fight with the condition on the 20th of June.

She is survived by her loving parents and family, aswell as countless friends.

Her funeral on the 4th of July was a true celebration of her life and it was of true testiment to her, the sheer volume of people that attended, showing just how many peoples lives she had a positive impact upon.

In Emma's memory, and in support of the tremendous work the Stroke Association do in supporting survivors, their families and research into prevention of the condition, I feel compelled to get involved with the charity any way I can, with this event being the first available to do so.

Any and all donations really will make a difference!

Thanks again for your time and generosity.
