Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year's big challenge for me is to complete the Glasgow Half marathon. First time I will have done this in the 'over 60's' age group!

Usually Spud the Spaniel has been helping my training but will be waiting at the finish on Sunday 2nd October. Hopefully the crowd cheering will be a good distraction and if I can get under 2 hours 10....job done.

About IWORK4ME

IWORK4ME provides FREE Business Mentoring to 40+ autistic people in Scotland each year via 1:1 in person and / or
online via Zoom coaching sessions, providing opportunity for independence, improved mental wellbeing and a sense of personal growth.

As businesses are launched and clients realise their potential, clients experience an enhanced quality of life and expand their life experience through participation in the wider community in person or via social media, making new friends in the process.  This may be taking part in craft fairs and trade shows, mounting exhibitions, securing recording contracts or negotiating and undertaking artistic commissions.

Clients report that they:

  • enjoy increased financial independence
  • learn and employ new life skills
  • experience a sense of personal growth, fulfillment
    and reduced social isolation
  • begin to live well, more happily and enjoy improved
mental health through successfully building their own future
  • experience reduced family conflict and an increased
    sense of self-worth
  • build resilience and become active contributors to
    their communities
  • believe they enhance society through exposure of
their unique talents, skills and viewpoints
