South West Coast to Coast Challenge 2021 · 24 July 2021 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer. Someone develops it every three minutes and there’s currently no cure.

Some of you will know my history with dementia and how it took Dad way too early. Those were impossibly tough, confusing, heart-breaking times. But there is hope.

Alzheimer's Society are building a movement. They are leading the way in support, society and research, providing national, group and one to one services to sufferers and their families. Trust me, this kind of help makes a huge difference.

So look down the back of the sofa, see what's left in the piggy bank, check underneath the mattress, and donate whatever you can. Your donations will help me push on through 100km of pain, blisters, and cramp, on the 24th of July from the North Devon Coast to the South Devon coast.

More importantly, you'll be directly supporting Alzheimer's Society campaign for change, funding life-changing research, and supporting those living with dementia today. Thank you!
