Story
Hey, I have some really good friends connected to Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge and have always been both fascinated and awestruck by the work they do.
They are busier than ever and the Charity remains committed to supporting patients and their carers and seeks to enhance the support it provides to the Hospital.
Charitable funds have enabled the Hospital to provide care beyond that of NHS funding alone, enhancing the Hospital’s status as the UK’s leading provider of specialist cardiothoracic care and the country’s main heart and lung transplant centre.
In this my 40th year, I wanted to do something to challenge myself and also support a local charitable cause and this looked like the perfect opportunity. It's only 4 days in the saddle - but it's plenty of miles and it won't be easy to stave off the inevitable cramps and foreseeable major pains in the derriere region! That said I am extremely proud to support them and to help raise funds so they can continue to expand their work.
If you can spare a few quid (even call it a 40th birthday present!), I'll be very grateful indeed...
Thanks for reading / supporting!
Rich
