The challenge

On November 6th, myself, Connor, Sydney and Josh will be running the Richmond Half Marathon in aid of 3rd World Hope. Although Connor, Sydney and I are keen to support Josh in his weight-loss journey, this isn't something we are particularly looking forward to. Any support - whether that be monetary donations, podcast recommendations or even just sharing the page - is hugely appreciated!

The charity

We are raising money for 3rd World Hope, a brilliant charity that works in co-operation with disadvantaged communities to tackle poverty and malnutrition. The charity runs two orphan day-care centres in rural Malawi – and so any funds raised by this fundraiser will go towards ensuring that the children in 3rd World Hope’s care continue to be fed on a daily basis.

In memory of Shaun

This challenge is particularly important to me as it helps to keep the legacy of my incredible brother Shaun alive. Shaun, the founder of 3rd World Hope, tragically lost his life in 2020 whilst selflessly delivering aid to one of the day-care centres he helped establish. We often say that Shaun was too bright a light to shine forever, but hopefully this fundraiser can help keep his commitment to a fairer world burning for many years to come.
