Story
On 13th April 2012, I was waiting for my best friend, Steve, to arrive in London for a fun-fuelled weekend. Unfortunately Steve never made it. To most people who knew Steve, he was an outgoing, intelligent, handsome, athletic, funny guy. What most people didn't know was his battle with depression.
Steve's death came as a complete shock to everyone. It left people asking "Why did I not realise he was suffering?" and "What could I have done to save him?". Sadly, there was nothing that anyone could do, as Steve hid his illness so well.
Steve was like a younger big brother to me. He helped me get through a tough few years when I first moved to London and I owe so much to him. Now it's my turn to give something back and raise as much money as possible to prevent even just one more person from thinking they have to give up on life.
The London Marathon is exactly 2 years to the day after Steve's death. I am running it for him. Please support the Mental Health Foundation by donating anything you can.
Thank you
