Story

I began my journey supporting autistic people over 15 years ago, during this time I was invited to be a guest speaker along at a National Autistic Society conference.

Until that day I was only aware of the organisation, from that day on, I knew just how important they are to enriching lives, helping to grow people’s understanding and I know just how much work goes on to help make this world a safer and more sensory conscious place to be. Although society in general has grown so much in acceptance since I started my journey, I just know we can all strive to do more…

When this opportunity popped into my email account I just knew I had to get involved and support the NAS. It wasn’t long until it became a team of two! So myself and my lady will aim to summit the mountain, together for The National Autistic Society.

We have a bit of work to do to achieve this, we have both started hiking steep inclines frequently and I certainly need to work off a fair few penguin biscuits I’ve been munching 😬 (ooops) so any shares and donations no matter how much would be amazing and appreciated! I respect this is a tough time for all of us right now! So please know I’m very grateful for any help in supporting the NAS that comes.

Over the years both in and out of my support role I’ve shared epic, meaningful time with some of my favourite people I’ve met. There is truly a special place here in both my life and heart, so thank you ☺️

Thank you for choosing to join #TeamAutism in our 2023 Snowdon Challenge. The money you raise will transform lives, change attitudes and help us to work towards a society that works for autistic people.
