CURE works to improve the lives of children with treatable disabilities through specialised surgical and compassionate care. Through our eight paediatric teaching hospitals in underserved countries, we provide free corrective care, as well as training for local healthcare workers to do the same.

Story

Thank you visiting our wedding pages!

We are having a fabulous year in Africa with Rick working with CURE International and Anne for Five Talents. As we mentioned in our invitations, we are not planning any wedding list. Everyone is travelling such a long way and we are just delighted to be able to celebrate our marriage with you.

If you would like to give something, we would like to support the two charities we work for. The Beit-CURE International Hospital in Blantyre, Malawi provides the only specialist childrens orthopaedic care in the country. We manage the routine conditions such as bow legs and knock knees, clubfoot, bone infections and the disabling contractures following burns, as well as the complex deformities that we simply do not encounter in the West.

It is a wonderful hospital and I have been very inspired by the work that is done here. As with many charities at the moment, funds are rather tight. We are hoping to raise enough money to replace the ailing washing machine, a large industrial relic, that launders all the theatre scrubs and hospital gowns.

Any contribution would be fantastic. We are very excited about 1st May and are very much looking forward to starting the celebrations with you at the welcome dinner.

With very best wishes,

Rick and Anne
