Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As a dad of two beautiful girls who both suffer from Crohns disease i felt it only fitting I ran this marathon for a charity that is very close to home. Crohns & Colitis UK.
My youngest daughter Emma was diagnosed in 2014 and almost exactly a year later her sister Olivia was also diagnosed. Since then its not been easy for both girls, numerous times both girls have had to come off food completely for 8 weeks onto a liquid feed called Modulen, which was extremely challenging for both of them as well as the family. In 2017 Olivia started on infliximab infusions which she has in hospital every 8 weeks, thankfully she has been in remission since and is currently in her third year of university. The same year Emma has surgery to remove part of her small bowel, this was only successful for a short time, and she unfortunately relapsed in 2018. She started on the same infliximab infusions as Olivia and is now thankfully in remission too. My girls look well, but this is a hidden disease no one understands how they feel and constantly having to remind people of the effects of this disease is not easy for them.
I am so proud of how they cope and hope and pray everyday for a cure. I hope I do you proud girls! 💜💜
