Story
Two foolish, ill-prepared but enthusiastic amateur riders will attempt to cycle the 100-odd miles from Carlisle to Cramond following an old Roman marching route. We will be doing this overnight close to the summer solstice so that our endeavour will be rewarded by a 4.30am sunrise along the Firth of Forth. And bacon rolls. And beer.
We are raising money for Save the Children's Emergency Fund so that they can continue to respond to the Child Refugee Crisis, particularly in Syria. Since the Syrian conflict began, 2.5 million children have been living as refugees. After eight years, most of these children have only known war.
Please sponsor us so that Save the Children can continue to respond quickly.
With your help, Save the Children can:
- Provide warm clothes, blankets and fuel for heating.
- Distribute food, water, blankets and tents to refugee families who have lost everything.
- Make sure that children get vital medical care. We reunite lone children with their families and keep them safe from trafficking and exploitation.
- Provide emotional support, set up safe spaces where children can play and mothers can breastfeed and help children get back to into education.
