Story
Support Nepal UK are in the process of building a welfare centre in the remote village of Dandaswanra. You can see some photos of progress here https://www.supportnepaluk.org/photos/?type_0=gallery&album_gallery_id_0=1. The charity was founded by Navin Gurung who was first known to me (Dave) when he worked at a restaurant called the Ealing Tandoori many, many years ago. Josh has family links with Nepal via the Gurkhas.
We aim to cycle 114km as part of the Land's End 100 Sportive event on 2nd Oct 2021 to raise funds to support the completion and operation of the welfare centre. This is further than either of us have ever ridden before, and will be a severe test of our determination and our ageing knees.
Your small (or large!) donation will be much appreciated by us and those who benefit in Nepal. Support Nepal UK are a super-efficient charity with almost all the funds spent in Nepal directly benefiting the local communities.
Namaste,
Dave & Josh
