Story
December 2020 marked the 5th anniversary of Susie sadly passing away from blood cancer. Therefore, we are planning to ride 121km with a group of family/friends on the weekend of her 54th Birthday to celebrate her life, whilst raising money and awareness for a truly great cause. We will be supporting Anthony Nolan which is a charity very close to hearts and a charity who helped Susie with vital treatment whilst battling cancer.
“Anthony Nolan is the charity that makes lifesaving connections between people with blood cancer and incredible strangers ready to donate their stem cells through a transplant. A stem cell transplant can cure or improve the outcome for someone with blood cancer or a blood disorder.”
Not only do we want to raise money for this charity, but we also want to raise awareness of the work they do to encourage as many people as possible to register as a stem cell donor, as this could help save a life. Becoming a donor is really easy and if you’re chosen to donate, the donation process is similar to giving blood. Have a read of the attached link to find out how you can become a donor and what it entails:

The planned route for the ride is 121km with over 1000m of elevation across the day. We will start and finish in Milton Keynes and will loop to the halfway point at Churchill Hospital in Oxford, where we will be greeted by representatives from Anthony Nolan.
We greatly appreciate any donation you can make and thank you for your support!
