Ride For Joshua 2020

On Sunday, 19th of July 2015, Our son Joshua passed away suddenly in his sleep. Joshua was loved and known by so many people. My son had severe disabilities and spent many years in and out of Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Joshua went to Zoë's Place Baby Hospice and Claire House Children's Hospice for respite. The day Joshua passed away Claire House offered us support for the family and Joshua was able to lay to rest peacefully in The Butterfly Suite. Our family was able to stay in a suite close to Joshua so that we were able to spend as much time with him as possible. Joshua’s funeral was held on 31st of July 2015, and we were so overwhelmed by the number of people that came to celebrate our little boys life. In 2016 we did a ride to Anglesey to raise money for Claire House Children’s Hospice, where Joshua had respite, and we managed to raise over £1200. In 2017 for Zoë's Place Baby Hospice where Joshua also went for respite, we managed to raise just over £1000. Last year, for chART, who are an incredible charity who raise money to get the equipment that children with disabilities need to get the best care possible, we managed to raise over £1,300! This year we’ve raised money for Rockin’ For Tots, who raise funds and awareness for the neonatal care of babies. Total amount raised was over £1500, the chosen charity for the Ride For Joshua 2020 is Merseyside & Cheshire Blood Bikes, a voluntary service who saves the NHS thousands of pounds by transporting blood, samples, medication, organs and even breast milk all for free. MCBB rely on public donations to keep the service running smoothly. If you would like to make a donation then you can do it by following the link:-
