Ride For Rainbow · 26 September 2010

For Life Thailand brings care, equality and opportunity to disabled children in Thailand. We support day-care centres, family-based care, physiotherapy and the rehabilitation of children from institutions back into communities. Our goal is to support children, families and communities in Thailand.

Story

The fundraising target for the ride is 0.5 million Baht.

You may recognise some of the children CCD care for from the recent TV advertisement for Thai Prakanchiwit in which they sang the song “Que Sera Sera” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ou3PWztgeo).

At the centre of the operation is Rainbow House, a home for over 30 children with various types and degrees of disability. Once you have met these children, the level of development which they have achieved is obvious and is testament to the tremendous work done by the staff of CCD. This is one of the many reasons why we take our students to Rainbow House and why we also ask for your support today.

“We were greeted by the kids from the Rainbow Orphanage - being the raison d'être of the ride. All aches and pains evaporated in the presence of this great bunch whose circumstances have been so disadvantaged yet who remain so cheerful and determined in outlook.”  Pat Hannay
