Story
On Sunday 29th May a few of us are doing a 100 mile bike ride in memory of a lost friend, Rina Wolfson. Tragically Rina died of pancreatic cancer in 2021 having been diagnosed near the start of the pandemic in 2020. She touched so many peoples' hearts in the way she confronted her illness and in her writing which was frank, funny and unbelievably moving. And her husband Paul, her grown up son BZ and young twin girls have moved everyone in the way they supported her in life and how they have managed since Rina died.
For so many people it's unacceptable that more than half will die within 3 months of being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Survival rates have improved enormously for most cancers, yet for pancreatic cancer, this is not the case. Pancreatic Cancer UK is dedicated to taking on this injustice using every possible means. They're supporting people with pancreatic cancer now, campaigning, and funding vital research to transform the future. Help them to make the breakthroughs that people with pancreatic cancer so desperately need.
