100 hole challenge · 6 February 2013

Cancer Research Wales funds cutting edge research in Wales into the early diagnosis, better treatment and preventatives of cancer. It's world leading, and it's local. We give hope to cancer patients and their families.

Story

Ridgeway Golf Club is a small golf Course on the outskirts of Cardiff. Every year our Club Captain chooses a charity to raise funds for, this year it is Cancer Reserch Wales. In an effort to help raise funds for this incredibly good charity a team of 4 golfers will aim to complete the following. On the 21 of June, four of our slightly daft members, Mike Mayer, Craig Campbell, Alex Mathews and Chris Thomas will each be aiming to play 100 golf holes in one day

To complete the 100 holes the team will be teeing off at first light, 4.43 am and aiming to finish by dusk at 9.21 pm. This would give us 998 minutes to get all the holes in, basically a fraction under 1 hole every 10 minutes for 16 hours 38 minutes. If we could somehow play to our  handicaps this would be a total of 1726 shots or 1 shot every 34 seconds!!! We will be walking approx. 17 miles.

This is a tough challenge for a worthwhile cause so if possible please give generously.

Thank you on behalf of the team

Craig Campbell.
