Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

I know, I know, it's always been "the last" time, but on the day I ran the London Marathon and completed my Classics Medal, we lost someone very dear to me. Richard was a beloved son, brother, uncle and friend to many. To me he was my Godfather. He was Uncle Joshua. He was a huge part of my life and it is still very difficult to come to terms with the fact that he is gone.

Rich was diagnosed in the early 1990s with MS which over the years took his ability to walk and work but never took his desire to be self-sufficient, nor his stubbornness!

He has left a huge hole for many and so while I ride this 100 miles (on the bike I have not sat on for 5 years!) to gain my second Classics medal, I will ride in his memory in the hope that one day there will be a treatment for this disease that took so much from someone we loved!
