Running a ring around w̶o̶r̶k̶ Tameside.
A second more modern CT scanner will help Tameside Hospital with the detection, diagnosis and treatment of conditions by providing more capacity and flexibility to treat patients.
I was planning to do a run in aid of the Scanner Appeal at the start of the year and then COVID hit. Just like that fate put all my good intentions on indefinite hold! Yay, no silly run for me :)
And then the Running Bee Foundation set up it's Virtual Run in Aid of the Scanner Appeal and I feel fate has forced my hand.
I have to complete my run before 10th August, on 6th August, 6AM I will attempt to run from Tameside General Hospital, to the Tameside Boundary and run a ring around Tameside (following the Tameside Trail boundary route). That's approximately 33 miles and 3632 feet of Ascent. You can see it here

The aim is to run it in a working day (7:30 hours), that's a bit ambitious for me but fortunately I work flexible hours so won't worry too much about going over by an hour or so...
