Rise & Run 100mile/100k

Rise & Run 100mile/100k · 1 June 2020
These are difficult and stressful times.
As we all struggle to answer the questions “how can I get by” and “how can I help those in need”, one thing is certain: there is room for all of us to make a difference.
We are just two people who love to run long distances. In an effort to bring attention and to bring in donations to our local Pacifica Resource Center, Rebekah (Isenberg) ran 100 miles on a treadmill Saturday, June 6th. She finished after 23 hours and 20 minutes, only taking a short 5 minute break about every two hours. In her words... "never again". Alan (Reynolds) will now be running 100 kilometers (62 miles) through our Vallemar neighborhood this Saturday June 27th. He will be seen running for 11 or more hours throughout the day, with a Berendos Avenue home aid table as his base.
We are asking anyone to donate any amount- $5, $20, $50, or more. No donation is too small! We have contributed to this cause financially as well. We are currently very close to meeting our goal of $3000.00 for food, housing, educational and job finding/hiring services for our community. This is AMAZING and we can't do it without your support.
Pacifica Resource Center provides food, housing support, and other critical services. PRC is the only core agency in San Mateo County that provides these services to Pacificans struggling to make ends meet. From their website:
