Running the 2022 London Marathon for Born Free

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
Hello everyone i hope you’re all well… we go again!, I’m so happy and honoured to be running for Born Free and the animals again for the third year in a row in the 2022 London Marathon running in aid of Born Free’s 2022 Year of the Lion. Since the 1960s, when the film Born Free was made, wild lions have declined by 90% from some 200,000 to as few as 20,000 today. Africa without wild lions? Extinction in the wild a real possibility? We can’t let this happen!.
Born Free have been an incredibly important part of my families lives since they were Zoo Check in the 1980’s, in 2020 it was beyond an honour becoming an official voice and advocate for them. In the 2021 London Marathon i raised £1,857 which went towards their truly vital work for animals worldwide and for the 2022 London Marathon I would love to raise even more!. The last two London Marathons i have run for Born Free the support from so many of you has been out of this world and I’m beyond grateful that you joined me in being a voice with Born Free for wild animals worldwide. Now I call on YOU again to please show your support. You sponsoring me will go towards Born Free’s numerous campaigns, ending captive animal suffering and exploitation, rescuing individual wild animals, the upkeep of wild animals in their care and this year especially we fight for the magnificent Lions in Born Free’s Year Of The Lion!.
I know times are tougher financially so I’m so grateful to those of you who have sponsored me so far for a cause very VERY! close to my heart and I’m so grateful to those of you who have shared it!. The animals need our help now more than ever and I’m so grateful again to those of you becoming a voice with Born Free & myself!.
