So few people know how my story began, I was a young kid who grew up with an alcoholic parent from a young age and the other parent worked tirelessly for keeping me and my older sibling a secure childhood, but eventually their alcoholism slipped into caring less about us and more about ourselves fending for ourselves. My older sibling put in a lot of effort but they were put under whole loads of stress with school and friends. The working parent then introduced us the way of Barnardos and their programs in the UK for helping children and teens talk about their issues, with addictive parents.
