Adam Tedesco is raising money for Olive Academies Foundation
Story
On 13th May 2023, Sam and Maeve are going to be walking 10k to raise money for the Olive Foundation, which is a charity that aims to give opportunities for children who are vulnerable, been excluded from school or who are within the care system. Any donation, no matter how small, will help encourage them to complete the 10k course and raise money for this brilliant cause.
The charity has a £11,000 fundraising target which will enable these children and young people to take part in a specialist outdoor learning programme, Venture Beyond.
This programme enables marginalised children and young people to go out of the classroom and into the wilderness, supporting them to push their limits in a process of self-discovery. Using outdoor-based challenges, well venture beyond stereotypes and self-doubt to build confidence, develop resilience, broaden horizons and create possibility.
Venture Beyond is a bespoke, character-building programme designed to help improve mental health and develop social and emotional skills, to rebuild confidence and increase resilience so that these children and young people can re-engage with learning and secure a better future.
