Story
The RMBI are committed to delivering services that promote the dignity, independence and choice of the 1000+ elderly individuals they support.
This year I want to raise awareness of the great work they do, and hopefully raise some money for this great cause. It can seem like there is always someone asking for your charity, so this time,
I would like to be a little bit different, and give something back.
The Challenge
On the 21st of May, I will be attempting the Yorkshire Three Peaks, a gruelling challenge of 26 miles, and over 5000' of ascent. I am aiming to complete the challenge in 12 hours or less.
To achieve this I am going to have to train hard, this means 5:30 starts every weekend and walking an average of 50 miles a week.
Your Reward
Around Huddersfield there are many miles of beautiful walks, and as I will be walking them while I train, I will be taking pictures. Each walk will be fully detailed, so you can follow along (even if you only want to follow on the web). I welcome suggestions for walks to try, and if you would like to be mentioned in the blog, please let me know. Take a look at the blog here www.walkhuddersfield.blogspot.co.uk
