Our 'Dearest Step Papa' Mark Nicholson passed away on June 11th 2020. His death was untimely and with the world in the midst of a pandemic, we were unable to celebrate his life in the way in which he deserved. 

With his 2 year anniversary in a couple of months time, my sisters Daisy, Molly and I knew we wanted to organise an event to bring those that knew and loved Mark together for a great celebration. Woodsome Hall Golf Club was the perfect place to host a dinner. Mark was a resident in one of their apartments for 10 years and the golf club was one of many social hubs for Mark and his friends. 

In Mark's later years,  once he had retired from banking, he volunteered some of his time to the British Heart Foundation, helping with accounting and administration. This role was an enjoyable and full filing one for him and it kept him busy in and around watching his beloved Huddersfield Town football club. 

So in addition to the dinner, organised for April 9th. Three days after what would have been his 67th birthday and coincidentally on Grand National Day, a favourite in Mark's calendar. We decided to continue Mark's work for the British Heart Foundation and raise money via donations and a raffle which will be held on the night.
