RNLI - Adam Dewulf-Peters

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is a fantastic national organisation that saves lives at sea.
It receives no government funding and works 7 days a week, 365 days a year to provide essential education, safety and rescue service across the UK. It relies heavily on thousands of brave volunteers who willingly give up their time to ensure that someone will look for us if we get in trouble.
Last year 20 year old, Norfolk lad, Adam went for a walk along the coastline in Aberystwyth (where he was at University) Unfortunately he had an accident and went missing.
The RNLI did an incredible job looking for Adam, using the latest technology which they were able to buy through the kind donations of people like us sitting here today.
The RNLI found Adam but sadly, despite their best efforts, were unable to resuscitate him. Despite this devastating result, we cannot thank the tireless work of the RNLI. It brings such comfort to know that this service and its exceptional volunteers are available to anyone in trouble.
Adam was a bit of a legend. Bright, funny kind and able to talk to anyone. He was an all-round good egg.
I won’t lie, choral concerts weren’t really Adam’s thing, but he was always good for a chat with a drink. Can I ask you to be generous in your donations tonight which will go to RNLI and, in memory of Adam, have a glass of wine in the interval and a chat with someone.
